Several
people asked me via PM what a so called lossbot
actually
is. A lossbot leaves your
warcraft 3 games. In other words: it
automates your your losses. Of
course you ask yourself now: What?
Why should I use a bot that makes me
loose?
The answer is
simple, the lossbot makes
you get worse statistics. When searching
for a game Battle.Net finds
people that match your statistics. So if
you have a lot of looses then
the chance that you play versus
extremely bad players is increased a
lot. That way you can gather a
lot more wins per week and get your
desired icons quickly.
In
fact in most of the cases you will also be playing vs. other
lossbotters.
With a leave-delay of 60 seconds you can expect your
winning
chances to be around 42 percent for 200 games. Note: you can
only
play 200 games per weeks. That's a restriction added by blizzard to
prevent abuse of their servers. In fact, that's also why some people
call
lossbotting "abusing". The term abuse is also used for other ways
of
manipulating Blizzards Stat-Algorithm. To give you some examples:

To calculate how many weeks you will need to lossbot
to win X games use this formula:
X=Desired Wins
P=Win
percentage (42 percent is 0.42)
W=Weeks
X/(200*P)=W So, let's assume you
want to play 1500 games and
your win percentage is 40, then calculate
the following:
1500/(200*0.4) = 18.75. That means it will take you 18
weeks of
lossbotting to get 1500 wins just by botting. Of course,
playing RT
or AT can speed up the process a little.
To find out how many
hours it will take you need to take into
consideration how long
leaving and searching a game takes for you.
Multiply your games
by the time you need to complete one and divide it
through 60
X=Games (to calculate how many you need do the
following: 1500 pic
icon: 1500/your winning percantage. In Case of
0.4 (40 percent) 3750
games in total)
T=Time per Game
(X/T)/60)
= hours
Keep in mind that your computer does
not have to
be online the whole day, you are only playing 200
games. Each game
taking 3 minutes you gotta leave it on for around
10 hours per week. I
actually like going green, so I am calculating
your energy costs:
30 cent per KWH - my computer uses 250 W. 250
W equals 0.25 Kilo Watt.
Calculate 180 hours by 0.25 (the energy of
your computer in Kw) by price
per KiloWatt Hour (in Germany 30 cent
already).
Assuming that you want to lossbot 200
hours
(realistic bot time for 1500 pic) calculate the following:
GT=Game time in hours
C=Power consumption of your PC
PKW=Pirce
per Kilo Watt hour
GT*C*PKW = Price in Cent
Example:
200 (hours) *0.25 (kw) *30 (price in cent per KWH) = 750
cent = 15 Euro.
So it would cost you 15 Euro of electricity to bot
your 1500 pic
